A beloved production returns. The moving love story between Mary Sophia Gapper and Edward O'Brien is back with performances across Simcoe County in September 2022. First presented in 2018, Mary of Shanty Bay is based on the real-life diaries of Mary, who comes to Canada from England in 1828. What starts off as a short visit soon becomes a lifelong adventure, with Mary and her husband building a home on the edge of a new world and struggling for survival. Does Mary possess the resilience and resourcefulness to rise to the occasion? Mary of Shanty Bay will take place from September 21st to October 1st at St. Thomas Anglican Church. It will then tour to Collingwood, in partnership with Theatre Collingwood, with show dates between October 5th and 8th. This production is generously sponsored by Al Jones Wealth and Estate Planning Frequently Asked Questions
