Written by local playwright Trudee Romanek, Bobbie follows the story of Fanny “Bobbie” Rosenfeld, a true Canadian sports icon. The play follows her family’s journey as they fled from the violence and turmoil of Russia to the safety of Barrie, where she developed the passion for sport. She would then go on to become an Olympic Champion, representing Canada at the Olympic Games in 1928.
