Aspiring Playwrights (and Actors) Unite!

Are you a budding playwright living in Barrie? On April 3rd from 6 to 10 PM, TBTB is launching a once-a-month get-together for playwrights seeking to have new scenes and plays read out loud. No piece is too small, rough, or new! Just send your script to us at barrieplaywrights@gmail.com before March 20th.

Even if you’re not a playwright- mark this date in your calendar! This event is open to the Barrie theatre community to come together, talk about new work and network with each other.

Actors are especially welcome as we will need lots of readers! For actors, reading new scenes and plays is an incredible way to practice your craft. Often in auditions, you are asked to pick up sides “cold” and quickly analyze them. Being able to read a scene you haven’t had much time to rehearse is a very important part of getting work as an actor.

Actors are to arrive at 5:30 PM, Readings will begin at 6 PM!
